Brand identity and digital design for companies operating across the Japan–global divide.
CASE STUDY 01
VENTUPLEX
THE BRIEF
Ventuplex is a Tokyo-based software development company built on the premise that IP reuse can make enterprise-grade capability accessible to small and medium-sized businesses.
The challenge was a strong technical proposition with no visual language to carry it. A company positioning itself as an enabler of software innovation for SMEs needed an identity that conveyed precision, integrity, and forward momentum — without the conservative restraint typical of Japanese B2B software brands.
We built the brand from the ground up: logo and symbol mark, full identity system, and corporate website. The result is a visual language that travels equally well across Japanese and international business contexts.

CASE STUDY 02
HELMSMAN
THE BRIEF
Helmsman is a Commerce AI platform that reframes the social media advertising problem for Japanese e-commerce operators.
The product's insight is deliberately counterintuitive: optimising ad delivery is not the problem — deciding what to advertise is. Meta and Google's AI already handles bid and budget optimisation. Helmsman handles product selection at the SKU level, surfacing only the products that will convert before the ad spend begins.
The site needed to make that sharp, contrarian positioning land clearly for a technical Japanese audience, without oversimplifying a genuinely complex proposition. We designed the full digital experience — from information architecture and UI through to the structural logic of the copy.
DELIVERABLES
CONTEXT
Helmsman is a product of the Ventuplex group. This engagement demonstrates Communiqué's cross-layer capability: brand identity at the parent-company level, product design at the subsidiary level.
